In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of the top social apps in Russia on a unified platform revealed interesting trends in user engagement and app popularity.

Blogger, by Google LLC, saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 43 in late August. Active users rose from 84 at the beginning of July to a high of 121 in mid-August, before settling at 95 by the end of September.

Waplog: Dating, Match & Chat from Waplog Dating Apps experienced notable fluctuations in revenue, with a peak of approximately $1.1K in late August. Downloads decreased steadily over the quarter, starting at 9.6K and dropping to 777 by the end of September. Weekly active users remained robust, though they decreased from 55.6K to 35.9K.

KakaoStory by Kakao Corp. experienced a modest increase in downloads, reaching 48 in mid-August. Active users also grew, peaking at 40 in the same period before declining to 18 by the end of September.

Chatous from Castle Global had stable download numbers, with a slight peak of 97 in early July. Active users consistently hovered around the 800-900 range throughout the quarter.

FollowMeter for Instagram maintained steady weekly revenue, peaking at $120 in late August. Downloads varied slightly, with a peak of 323 in mid-August. Active users remained consistently around the 2.9K to 3.1K mark.
